How do I close a Koodo Mobile account when payments or deposits keep appearing?

Answer

Unexpected Koodo deposits or failed cancellations usually mean the account is still active or autopay is still linked. Sign in to the official Koodo account tools, review billing and autopay, then request a formal cancellation confirmation in writing.

Before you start: stop right away if…

  • Do not share online banking passwords or one-time codes with anyone who contacts you about the deposits.
  • Cancelling service can permanently release the phone number if it is not ported elsewhere first.

Follow these steps

  1. Sign in and check account status

Open the official Koodo Self Serve website or app, sign in, and confirm whether the line still shows as active, suspended, or cancelled.

You should see: You see the true account status and recent billing activity.

  2. Review autopay and payment methods

In billing settings, turn off autopay if the account should close, and note any prepaid balance, deposits, or pending payments.

You should see: Autopay is disabled and you understand why deposits or charges are still posting.

  3. Submit a cancellation request

Use Koodo’s official cancel-service flow or support chat/phone and ask for a written confirmation with the effective cancel date and any final balance.

You should see: You receive a cancellation confirmation number or email.

  4. Confirm the line is offline

After the stated cancel date, verify the number no longer has service and that no new charges or deposits appear on the next statement cycle.

You should see: Service ends and unexpected payment activity stops.

Extra tips

What to look for: Account status Active versus Cancelled, autopay settings, recent invoices, and any Koodo reference such as AY#114 or similar case numbers.

Before you change anything: Gather the account holder’s name, phone number, and recent bill or reference numbers. Use only Koodo’s official website, app, or published support channels. Do not share full banking passwords with anyone claiming to help by phone. Keep screenshots of cancellation confirmations.
